What Sports Injuries we treat at one|DZ in derby

Not all injuries happen suddenly — many build up slowly through poor movement patterns, repetitive stress, or weakness. At ONE|DZ, we treat a wide range of common and complex issues, including:
Hamstring strains and tears
Sprained ankles and ligament damage
Knee pain – patellofemoral syndrome, IT band pain, ACL rehab
Shoulder pain – rotator cuff strains, instability, impingement
Groin pulls and adductor injuries
Achilles and calf strains
Shin splints and lower leg stress injuries
Back pain from training or lifting
Elbow and wrist injuries – tennis elbow, gym-related overuse
Overuse injuries from running, cycling, or lifting
These injuries are frustrating — especially when they interrupt your training or hold you back from the activities you enjoy. We’re here to help you recover properly and prevent them from coming back.

Who We Help

Our Derby-based sports injury clinic works with people of all activity levels, including:
Amateur and semi-professional athletes
Weekend warriors
Regular gym-goers and CrossFit athletes
Runners, cyclists, swimmers and team sport players
Office workers who stay active after hours
People training for an event or coming back from surgery
We treat adults of all ages and fitness levels — you don’t need to be an elite athlete to benefit from our approach. If your injury is stopping you from training or living normally, we’ll guide your recovery.

Your First Appointment: What to Expect

At your first session, we’ll spend time understanding your body, injury, and goals. There’s no guesswork here — we assess, treat, and build a plan that’s right for you.

Your initial appointment includes:
A full injury and movement assessment
Postural, strength, and flexibility screening
Diagnosis and explanation of the issue
Hands-on treatment to reduce pain or restriction
Tailored recovery plan with exercises and progressions
Advice on activity modification and return-to-sport timelines
We treat the root cause, not just the symptoms — and we’ll explain everything clearly along the way.

How We Help You Recover

1

Hands-On Physiotherapy

We use manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisation, and trigger point release to improve movement and reduce pain.
2

Strength & Conditioning Rehab

Using ONE|DZ’s state-of-the-art gym, we’ll build a targeted strength plan to restore capacity, reduce compensation, and get you back to your sport stronger than before.
3

Movement Retraining

Injuries often change how you move. We help retrain proper movement patterns — from running technique to lifting mechanics — so you reduce your risk of re-injury.
4

Sport-Specific Programming

Whether you’re returning to football, CrossFit, Olympic lifting or long-distance running, we tailor your rehab based on the demands of your sport.
5

Education and Support

You’ll understand your injury, why it happened, and how to manage it — now and long term.
